Yes — in Elovate, most jobs can be edited after creation, but the options you can change depend on the job type and its current status.
What you can edit
Job name – You can always rename a job for clarity.
Filters / Rule builder – For continuous or live jobs (e.g., Content Enrichment or Translations), you can update rules to include or exclude different entities.
Moderators / Editors – You can assign or remove users who are responsible for processing or approving the job.
Attributes to process – In some jobs (like Exports or Translations), you can change which attributes are included before the job runs again.
What you can’t edit
Entity type – Once a job is set to products, categories, CMS pages, etc., this cannot be changed.
Provider selection – For AI or translation jobs, you can’t swap providers after the job has started.
Completed one-time jobs – If a job is already marked as Complete and is not continuous, you can’t add more items. You’d need to create a new job.
Special case: Live jobs
For live Content Enrichment or Translation jobs, changes to rules take effect immediately. This means any new entities that match the updated rules will automatically be added to the job without creating a new one.
Best practice
If you need major changes — especially to entity type or provider — duplicate the job, adjust your settings, and start fresh. This ensures you have a clean record of both versions in the job history.
