How to sync enriched content to Magento

Learn the rules and steps for syncing enriched products, categories, and custom pages from Elovate to Magento.

Updated over a week ago

1) Sync permissions – who can push content to Magento?

The ability to push enriched content to Magento depends on the job setup and user role:

Job setup

Who can sync to Magento?

Notes

Only editors assigned

Editors can approve and push content directly to Magento.

Editors can approve 1 item at a time from the My editor tasks view.

Editors + moderators assigned

Only moderators can approve and push content to Magento.

Editors cannot push content to Magento in this setup.

Same user is both editor and moderator

That user can approve and push content to Magento in both roles.

Gives full access to bulk and single-item approvals.

2) Sync workflows

Single-item sync

  • Open the item (product, category, or custom page) from the job.

  • Approve the changes (if you have the correct permissions).

  • Click Push to Magento to immediately sync the content.

  • Available to:

    • Editors when no moderators are assigned.

    • Moderators when moderators are assigned.

    • Users who are both editor and moderator.

Bulk sync

  • Go to My moderation tasks (bulk sync is only available here).

  • Select multiple entities from the overview.

  • Click Bulk approve and push to Magento.

  • Available to:

    • Moderators.

    • Users who are both editor and moderator.

3) Important notes before syncing

  • Moderation required: If a job has both editors and moderators, content will never go live until a moderator approves it.

  • Role restrictions: Editors can’t bypass moderation unless they are also a moderator.

  • Bulk vs single-item: Bulk approval is only available in My moderation tasks; editors must approve one-by-one from their task list.

  • Sync speed: Depending on your Magento store size and server performance, syncing may take a few seconds to several minutes.
