Why is my output awaiting moderation?

Resolve AI Workflow outputs stuck in Awaiting moderation by reviewing, approving or declining generated results.

If your workflow output shows Awaiting moderation, the generated result requires approval before synchronization or further workflow execution can continue.

This happens when moderation is enabled for a workflow action.

Why this happens

Moderation is commonly used for:

  • SEO content

  • translations

  • marketplace descriptions

  • customer facing product content

  • category assignments

Products pause temporarily until a reviewer approves or declines the generated output.

Common causes

Moderation is enabled

The workflow action is configured to require editor or moderator approval before synchronization.

No reviewer has approved the output yet

Products remain in Awaiting moderation until someone reviews the result.

Large moderation queues

Large workflows may generate many review tasks at once.

This can delay workflow progression.

Multiple approval layers

Some workflows may require both:

  • editor review

  • moderator approval

before synchronization becomes available.

How to resolve it

Step 1: Open the workflow Results tab

Review products currently awaiting moderation.

Step 2: Inspect the generated output

Check:

  • generated content

  • translations

  • extracted attributes

  • confidence scores

  • AI reasoning

Step 3: Approve or decline the output

Approve correct output to continue the workflow.

Decline incorrect output to prevent synchronization.

Step 4: Monitor synchronization progress

After approval:

  • synchronization may start automatically

  • products continue through the workflow pipeline
