Overview
The Fix errors tab in Elovate lets you quickly resolve issues detected during import validation.
You can choose to skip data, transform incorrect values, or even create new attribute options — all without editing your original file.
When to use it
You’ve validated your import file and errors are reported.
You need to correct or bypass issues directly in Elovate.
You want to ensure a clean import without file re-uploads.
How to access it
Go to Import → Select your import job.
Click Validate import.
Open the Fix errors tab.
Actions Available
Action | What It Does | Example |
Skip value | Ignores the incorrect field for that product but imports the rest. | Wrong color value is skipped, rest of the product data imports. |
Skip item | Skips the entire product row from the import. | Problematic SKU is excluded from the import entirely. |
Attribute | Allows you to transform the incorrect value into an existing valid one. | Change "Blak" → "Black". |
Add new option | Creates a new attribute option in Magento directly from Elovate. | Add "Neon Green" as a new color option. |
Example workflow
Import file contains color value
"Blak"(invalid).In Fix errors, choose one of the following:
Attribute to transform it to
"Zwart".Add new option to create
"Blak"as a valid color in Magento.
Click Save settings and Validate import.
Once no errors remain, click Run import.
Tips for success
Always validate before import to avoid Magento rejections.
Use Add new option only when the value is truly missing from Magento.
Fix recurring issues at the source file to reduce manual work.
