How to revert imports?

Updated this week

With Elovate you can easily revert imports. When your import has been completed and data has been send to your store you have the option to revert any update that has been send.

Step 0 - Visit a job that has been completed

First of all, visit a import that you've completed. You can check if an import is done if the status is "done".

Step 1 - Navigate to "logs"

When you've run the import job in the past and revisit the job, there will be a new field called "Logs."

Step 2 - Revert the import job

Within the logs, you will see one or multiple jobs that can be reverted. It's important to note that reverting an import undoes that specific action. This means that reverting the first import job might not revert your last job. If you wish to revert all updates made within a job, it's recommended to revert from top to bottom.

Step 3 - Check the results

When pressing "Revert Import," the reversion action will be executed. Navigate to the "Logs" section to observe whether the revert has occurred and to check the number of products that have undergone the reversion process.

Important note

Reverting is only supported for existing products.
This means that if you run an import that updates existing products, those updates can be reverted. However, if your import creates entirely new products and you later wish to revert those changes to remove the newly created products, that is not possible.
