Why scheduling imports is useful
Scheduling allows you to run imports automatically at set intervals — ideal for suppliers’ product feeds or other regularly updated files. This keeps your Magento store’s data fresh without manual uploads every time.
Steps to save and schedule an import
Go to the Import app
In Elovate, navigate to Apps → Import → Jobs.
Either create a new import job or open an existing one.
Set up your import job
Complete your normal import job configuration (file source, mapping, multi-select, SKU handling, etc.).
If you’re unsure, see How to add an import job for step-by-step setup.
Enable scheduling
Scroll to the Scheduling section in your job setup.
Toggle the scheduling option to On.
Choose frequency
Select how often Elovate should run the import:
Hourly
Daily
Weekly
Custom interval
For example: set daily at 02:00 to match your supplier feed update time.
Save the job
Click Save import job.
Your job will now run automatically according to the schedule you defined.
Best practices
Match schedule to feed updates: if your supplier updates their feed once per day, there’s no benefit in importing more often.
Use validation before automation: test the import manually once to ensure mapping is correct.
Combine with error notifications: enable alerts so you know if a scheduled import fails.
