How to check your import status

When running imports in Elovate, it is important to understand the different job statuses and where to monitor them. The import section provides clear progress tracking, logs, and synchronization details so you can verify results and troubleshoot issues when necessary.

Step 1 – Navigate to import jobs

Go to Apps → Import → Select an import.

Use the top navigation bar to move between the available tabs:

  • Build import

  • Add rules

  • Review & import – appears once a job is validated and has updates

  • Logs – appears once the job is finished

  • Synchronization log – appears once the job is finished

Step 2 – Understanding import statuses

Status

Meaning

Scheduled

The import is scheduled and is currently loading data in preparation for processing.

Validated

The import has finished loading data and applying any rules (if Add rules was used).

Importing

The import task is currently being executed.

Done

The job has finished executing in Elovate. This does not necessarily mean Magento has already processed all updates; always verify in Magento.

Error

An error occurred during the import. This may be caused by issues such as a Google Sheets disconnection, corrupt file, or other data problems.

Step 3 – Reviewing import results

Review & import tab – Appears when the job is validated and contains updates. Allows you to confirm the changes before execution.

Logs tab – Appears after the job finishes. Displays:

  • Job ID

  • Date

  • Updated products

  • New products

  • Option to revert updates (new products cannot be reverted)

Synchronization log tab – Appears after the job finishes. Displays:

  • Name

  • Entity

  • Store

  • Action type

  • Action from date

  • Status (Error, Success, Pending)

The pending status is used only for bulk endpoints.
