When working with imports in Elovate, it may happen that an import job applies incorrect data to your Magento store — for example, wrong product descriptions, prices, or attributes.
Instead of fixing everything manually, Elovate gives you the option to revert an import job directly from the platform.
Reverting is especially useful if you’ve imported a large dataset and quickly need to roll back the changes.
Where to find the revert option
Go to Apps → Imports.
Open the import job you want to review.
Navigate to the Logs tab.
In the log details, you will see a column called Reverted (Yes/No).
How reverting works
When you revert an import job, Elovate restores the attributes to their previous state in Magento.
Reverts are tracked in the job log, so you always have a history of which imports were rolled back.
The synchronisation log will also show the reverted changes, so you can confirm that Magento has received the rollback correctly.
Important notes
Job-based: You can only revert whole imports, not individual items within an import job.
Time-sensitive: If other changes were made to the same products after the import, reverting might overwrite them. Always double-check before running a revert.
Logs are your safety net: If you’re unsure, check the job log and synchronisation log before reverting.
