Editing and moderating in content enrichment

Learn how editors complete tasks and moderators review updates before syncing to Magento

Updated over a week ago

Once a content enrichment job is created, editors and moderators work together to complete and approve changes before they are synced to Magento.

1) Editor workflow

Accessing tasks

  • Editors go to Apps → Content enrichment → My editor tasks.

  • Tasks are grouped by the content enrichment list name and entity type (products, categories, or custom pages).

Editing fields

  • Only attributes assigned to the editor are editable.

  • Fields marked as extra information are read-only and shown for context.

  • If keep existing content was enabled during job creation, current Magento values are prefilled; otherwise, fields are blank.

Saving progress

  • Editors can save partially completed work at any time.

  • Once all required fields are filled, click Mark as complete to send the task to moderation (if moderation is enabled) or directly to Magento (if no moderation is set).

2) Moderator workflow

Accessing moderation tasks

  • Moderators go to Apps → Content enrichment → My moderation tasks.

  • Lists awaiting review are shown with their items and changes.

Reviewing changes

  • Compare original content and new content side-by-side.

  • Approve or reject each field or the entire item.

  • Rejected fields/items can be sent back to the editor for revisions.

Batch actions

  • Moderators can approve or reject multiple items in one go for faster workflows.

3) Syncing to Magento

  • Approved items sync to Magento automatically according to the entity type:

    • Products → updated product attributes.

    • Categories → updated category fields.

    • Custom pages → updated CMS page content (Amasty Improved Layered Navigation required).

  • Sync speed depends on queue size and API limits.

4) Tips for smooth collaboration

  • Keep briefings specific to avoid unnecessary rejections.

  • Assign attribute-specific editors if your workflow needs subject-matter expertise (e.g., SEO vs. technical specs).

  • Use the project feature to keep related lists organized and easy to find.

  • Moderators should review changes promptly to avoid bottlenecks in publishing.
