In Elovate, translation jobs let you quickly translate selected entities — such as products, categories, attributes, CMS pages, blocks, and Magefan blog posts — into another language.
Before starting a job, make sure you’ve configured at least one translation setting.
1. Check your translation settings
A translation setting defines:
Translate from – The source language
Translate to – The target language
Attributes to exclude from translation
How to translate URL keys – Leave as-is or translate
Name – Internal name for the setting
Widget translation whitelist – Optional
If you haven’t set this up yet:
Go to Apps → Translations → Settings.
Click Add new translation.
Fill in the fields above.
Click Save translation.
2. Create a new translation job
Navigate to Apps → Translations → Jobs.
Click Add new translation job.
3. Fill in the job details
General settings

Job name – Give it a descriptive title (e.g., “Spring Collection FR Translation”).
Translation provider – Select DeepL or GPT (depending on language and quality needs).
Moderators – Assign users to review and approve translations (required if auto-sync is off).
Continuous translation – Run continuously and pick up new matching items automatically.
Automatically translate – Start translating as soon as items match the rules.
Automatically synchronise – Push translated content to Magento as soon as it’s approved.
Override existing content – Replace already translated fields with new translations.
Remove links from translated content – Strip hyperlinks from translated text if needed.
4. Choose what to translate
Entities to translate – Products, categories, attributes, CMS pages, blocks, Magefan blogs.
Attributes to translate – Select from available fields (e.g., name, description, meta title).
Rule builder – Filter which items to include (e.g., Status = Enabled AND Store view = English).
5. Select glossaries (optional)
If you have a glossary for brand names or technical terms:
Click Select glossary.
Choose one or more glossaries to ensure consistent translations.
6. Save and run
When done, click Save translation job.
The job will appear in the Jobs overview with one of the following statuses:
Job statuses:
New – Just created
Queued – Waiting to start
Generating – Translation in progress
Processing – Items are ready for review/moderation
Done – Translation completed and synced
For continuous translation jobs, Elovate re-checks your rule every 15 minutes, so new items that match the filter will be picked up automatically.
