Elovate already supported a fast and simple Search & Replace feature to change words or phrases across your store, including HTML content. However, translations can be more complex — replacing words directly is not always correct due to grammar and language structure. To solve this, we’ve introduced Reschedule Translations within Search & Replace.
With this option, you can trigger Elovate to re-translate specific terms instead of only replacing them literally.
Steps to use Reschedule Translations
1. Navigate to Search & Replace
Go to Search & Replace in your Elovate dashboard.
2. Select the action type
By default, the action is set to Standard Search & Replace.
Change this to Reschedule Translations.
Note: You need to have an existing translation job to use this option.
3. Fill in the fields
Enter the fields as you normally would for a search & replace operation. The only difference:
Use the Terms to Reschedule field to specify which words or phrases Elovate should look for in translations and re-translate.
4. Run the process
Elovate will find the specified terms in the translated content and automatically re-translate them according to your translation job settings.
Best practices
Combine with the Glossary: Add your preferred terminology to the glossary so Elovate consistently uses the correct terms during re-translation.
Test with small batches: Start with a few terms to verify the results before applying to a larger set of translations.
Use for corrections: Ideal for fixing brand names, product terms, or repeated mistakes across multiple translations.
